Mongolia’s Internet sector faces a pressing brain drain. Part of the problem relates to the limited avenues for training at home – promising young professionals often leave for training and end up staying abroad.
The Mongolian government and development agencies understand the need for digital literacy, but there were still no programs tailored for people entering the tech sector.
The Cloud Academy sought to step into this gap. A recent ISIF-Asia supported project sought to conduct training, but this had to be accompanied with a variety of outreach and multimedia initiatives to build up awareness of Mongolia’s tech ecosystem.
