Head of Stakeholder Relations

Applications close midnight on 13 June 2024. Please note the applicant can be based in Brisbane or any location within the Asia Pacific region.

As the Head of Stakeholder Relations, you will play a key role in providing strategic and tactical oversight of the APNIC Foundation’s stakeholder relations, technical engagement and advocacy, with the goal of securing funding and support for Internet development projects and managing internal and external relationships. Reporting to the Foundation CEO, this is a high-profile, externally facing role that requires well-honed stakeholder management skills and a solid understanding of the Internet ecosystem.

In this role, you will get an opportunity to:

• Build, manage, and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including the technical community, governments, civil society organisations, industry organisations, development organisations, philanthropic and donor organisations and the private sector 
• Manage and support fundraising strategies and activities to diversify and secure funding sources, and build and nurture donor relationships 
• Lead research, advocacy, stakeholder outreach and mobilisation, and advice leadership, on strategies and issues related to Internet and digital development in line with the Foundation’s vision and mission 
• Lead specific stakeholder outreach initiatives, dialogue and other forms of engagement to understand key needs and concerns, and to inform the review and enhancement of project delivery 
• Manage, support, and contribute to the development of organisational papers, presentations, opinion pieces and research in line with the Foundation’s vision and mission 

The recruitment process will include a minimum of two rounds of interviews including a practical and pre-employment checks (reference and police checks).
