Support for WCAP 2023
Web Consortium Asia Pacific (WCAP)
The importance of web technologies and the role of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and its activities in the Asia-Pacific region in promoting global standards for these technologies are still not fully understood in the region. WCAP was established to expand the importance of web technology and the W3C and its activities in the Asia Pacific.
In cooperation with APNIC, W3C standards will be promoted in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, and in 2023, WCAP will visit IT-related companies and universities in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand to introduce W3C and to start activities to promote the penetration and importance of web technologies. In addition. This will also kickstart discussions on the specific technology awareness using the W3Cx training materials provided by the W3C.
