Jigme Namgyel Engineering College, Royal University of Bhutan

In Bhutan, as Internet connectivity expands rapidly, so do challenges like cyber threats and digital literacy gaps. This project aims to address these issues head-on. This project envisions a region where communities are equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape safely and confidently. Through a comprehensive approach encompassing technical training, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and digital literacy initiatives, the project seeks to address critical gaps in digital literacy and security awareness in the eastern region of Bhutan.

The project aims to bridge this gap by:

  • Developing personalized curriculum and educational materials to enhance digital skills and cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Conducting digital literacy workshops for community members to improve basic internet skills and online safety.
  • Implementing awareness campaigns to educate the public about cyber threats and best practices for online security.
  • Facilitating knowledge-sharing workshops to foster collaboration among network operators and cybersecurity authorities in Eastern Bhutan.

Through these efforts, the project seeks to empower local communities, enhance digital competence, and create a safer online environment.
