APNIC Academy Platform and Curriculum Development
Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)
The APNIC Academy is composed of an online platform, training content and a training curriculum. The foundation of all APNIC training, the Academy employs blended learning, flip classroom and hybrid flexible approaches that combine online and face-to-face training.
The APNIC Academy serves as an integrated and communitywide online platform for the Asia Pacific region. It continues to develop the APNIC Academy platform, content and curriculum to increase knowledge and skills in the community and to help support best practices.
2024 update:
A key milestone achieved was the rollout of APNIC’s first Training Certification Program in IPv6. Two IPv6 certification workshops were delivered in Nepal and the Philippines, achieving certification for 62 out of 75 participants, with 33 out of 39 certified in Nepal and 29 out of 36 certified in the Philippines.

- Achieved at least 43,625 hours of usage in self-paced online courses and virtual labs in 2024
- Achieved average satisfaction survey rating of 98.42% on training content
- Maintained Academy Platform availability of 100%
- Achieved a total of 45,245 registered users on the Academy platform in 2024
- Delivered two IPv6 Certification workshops, achieving certification for 62 out of 75 participants
In 2023, the APNIC Academy released self-paced online courses on Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Introduction to Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
In 2022, the project migrated content from previously stored wiki repositories to the Academy, establishing a central repository. Significantly, the academy achieved a 97% satisfaction rate for APNIC training, as reported in the APNIC biannual survey.
