Yougov research shows Indonesia has a significant problem with online misinformation around climate science.
Surveys conducted as part of a recent ISIF Asia-supported project by the Center for Digital Society (CfDS) found a variety of beliefs and attitudes contributed to the problem – a quarter of respondents assumed elites were fabricating a climate crisis, while a third thought it was a problem associated with religious misconduct.
The CfDS took a deep dive into the issue to better understand the nature of the problem and start identifying contributing factors. All their findings are available in the technical report via the project page.
