Many of the hardest areas of Laos to connect are filled with agricultural communities. There are many ways connectivity could help these farmers improve their livelihoods – knowing the current prices of crops and produce as well as soil and weather data could help them decide what’s best to plant in a given season.
Makerbox Lao sought to tackle this connectivity challenge via installation of prototype sensors as part of a recent ISIF Asia project.
