bdNOG

The 10th anniversary event of the Bangladesh Network Operators Group (bdNOG), bdNOG18, held from July 12-15, 2024, in Cox’s Bazar, was a significant success. The event, jointly organized by the Internet Service Provider Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and bdNOG, gathered approximately 235+ participants, including over five international trainers and speakers.

Participants benefited from expert-led discussions on critical topics such as network security, advance BGP and Segment routing. The presence of foreign trainers and speakers enriched the event by bringing international perspectives and best practices, contributing to the professional development of the local ICT community.

Overall, bdNOG18 fostered a spirit of collaboration and continuous learning, reinforcing its role as a key forum for ICT professionals in Bangladesh.

bdNOG18 event aimed to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing among ICT professionals from various sectors, including NRAN, academia, telecommunications, ISPs, banking, and enterprises. The conference and workshops provided a platform for attendees to exchange ideas, discuss the latest trends in Internet operations, and engage in hands-on training sessions.

One of the key outcomes of bdNOG events has been the collaboration between local and international organizations. The participation of foreign trainers and speakers from The Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC)  has led to bring global expertise to Bangladesh, enabling local organizations to adopt international best practices in network management, security, and infrastructure development.

Additionally, bdNOG’s partnership with the Internet Service Provider Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) has strengthened the local ICT community. These collaborations have resulted in co-organized events, joint training programs, and coordinated efforts to address industry challenges.
